Supreme Court rules 8-1 to allow January 6 committee access to Trump's White House documents: All three of president's SCOTUS nominees vote against him

  • The Supreme Court issued an 8-1 ruling that rebuffs Trump by allowing release of presidential documents sought by the January 6 Capitol riot committee
  • The former president's lawyers had hoped to prolong the court fight and keep the documents on hold while the courts decide the matter
  • The January 6 select committee immediately said Wednesday that it had already started to receive some of the records Trump kept 'hidden' following the ruling 
  • All three of the justices Trump nominated voted against him 
  • The lone conservative to vote to grant Trump's request was Clarence Thomas
