Since childhood, every time I bought something there were people around me that would ask me the cost of it and if I said 25 bucks, they would say they could get it for 10 bucks. So I started under quoting everything I brought, if I bought it for 25, I would say 10.

Sometimes it's fine to say what others want to hear. It doesn't mean you lack self respect, it just means you prioritize your mental peace over unnecessary arguments.
