sarat chandra bose should be the bengali nationalist icon.. he fought for independent bengal and against the partition.

subhash was impulsive and the wayward little brother. a huge distraction from the more suave, smart and educated big brother.

it was sarat chandra bose who was anti-congress in Bengal. @huma

I didn't say anything about Nehru. I don't care about him. only good thing I can say about Nehru is, thank god he became India's PM.

the alternative was Vallabhai Patel - a rank sanghi. a superlative bigot. Nehru was somewhat decent compared to others who were in contention.
