I wanted to do this but, my Gym instructors are not entertaining me. They say a lot of injuries for sure ani. I wanted to improve my posture. Only one thing to remember, take it very slow when increasing your weights. Even though you feel like you are doing a silly weight, my suggestion is to take it very slow and very slowly increase weights by very small amounts. I used to go to Crossfit, it was a life changing experience for me as I never gone to gym in my life. I used to desperately wait for the crossfit session as I do only three times a week. I wish I had known this before, I suffered a shoulder injury and its a spiral downwards ever since. If I ever have a godly chance of going back to those days, I will start with low weight and gradually increase at a very low pace. If you follow this, you are golden. Not a single day goes by regretting why I had not researched enough when doing cross fit. Once it breaks, sometimes it becomes permanent damage. Quote

I am afraid it is impingement It was sudden. I was doing a power clean+push jerk. I felt the pain in the push jerk part. I was doing 140lbs so I had to push with enormous strength for push jerk. So in one of the reps, I pushed with great force, the force was so great that my shoulder got pulled upwards due to the force I excerted on the barbell and my hands were holding onto it when the barbell reached the top position with great speed, so I felt my shoulder got pulled upwards. I experienced a sharp pain. I stopped immediately. After resting for a month, I gone back (I was still job less back then, so could not afford a doctor visit, another big mistake). After two sessions, the pain is back. The pain is not something like you can't bear it, it is something which aggrevates when you work out, but would not be much of an issue for day to day chores. After almost an year, I visited doctor as I want to get back to workouts again. MRI scan showed there is a labrum tear in there. Surgery is the only option as per the doctor, consulted another doctor but the verdict is the same. I am afraid to go under the blade and it's been almost four years now. Not sure if I should do it or not. Quote
