None of my tamil friends know hindi. Nenu chennai ki poyina 2 times andaru max tamil or eng matladaru.

 

tg was rules by nizams for decades. By that influence, lot of people can speak hindi. Atleast while i was in school, all the students had to have hindi as second language or first language. There was no way to skip it. State syllabus
