Do we have Indian new year? Same as we have for Chinese? Iran etc

We don't have one particular day across India for new year because of the diversity in our country ... we have Ugadi for AP/TG/KA and gudi padwa for maharashtra and baisakhi for Punjab and puthandu for TN and bihu for assam and pohela for WB and bestu varas for Gujarat,  Vishu for Kerela and so on

Yes, it's called Diwali for most states in India. Ugadi/ Gudi Padva in some states that follow other calendars.
