amazon raise the bar , bump base salary for corporate jobs from 160K to 350K around 2 days back .... this will increase competition and many companies raise their base pay ....

that is not true, you have to much desired for the company to pay $350k base, bay area 10-15 years exp $180k -$220k + 140-160k stock grants

Lite lelo kaka vaduedo exaggeration or lost in the translation, I know because worked for them albeit a losing making division (amazon music). AWS folks are paid good but not $350k base good

Check this website and search for company name. 180 base in all major metros(NY, Seattle) is common now.

 

Few companies are allowing remote and paying Seattle - 15k to candidates in Midwest and Texas and allowing remote.
