Store clerk killed in Talladega robbery was soon-to-be father in U.S. only 1 month; GoFundMe launched for family
A GoFundMe has been launched for a Talladega County store worker who was killed during a robbery.

Sri Satya Krishna Chitturi, 27, was found dead Thursday morning inside the Crown service station on Old Birmingham Highway.

 

Chitturi was a student who just came to the U.S. only one month ago, according to the fundraising campaign. He was married and was expecting a baby.

His death, the GoFundMe said, “left all the family and friends in great sorrow.”

Nearly $60,000 has been raised to send his body back to India. Donations can be made here.
