Customer care representative endhi carryon + laptop bag together limit 7kg antadhi. So confusing !!

kottha rule emi kaade....its been like this since 2014. Before that I dont know but 2014 lo naaku airport counter lo same issue encountered. Air India and Etihad lo 2 separate allowed. Carry on 7kgs and Backpack 4kgs....but Qatar and Emirates both combined 7kgs

US lo allow chesina india lo torture  chupistaru emirates vallu so better make sure u have 7kgs including backpack and checkin…personal exp in 2018 or 2019 like literally i have to take out my stuff from cabin and adjust in checkin and put back pack in cabin….i doubt if they even allow two separate like cabin and backpack like may be that’s the reason i put backpack in my cabin at that time

Last October experience. In India, it was strict. They checked everyone's carryon bag for weight. Laptop included in the 7Kgs. I had to get into Dubai and took a flight to US later. Checking only random samples. What I noticed is, they sample had more Indians than others. 

Better be safe than sorry. Emirates baggage rates at the counter are high.

It’s true. Travelled last month from EWR. They gave separate bag to carry Laptop asked to keep backpack in carry on. But they didn’t check any weight.
