The war begins between with a Bulgarian attack on Edirne and a Greek amphibious assault on Izmir. The Russian Navy bombards Trabzon and later Russian marines storm the city. In North America, Mexico launches the invasion of the American southwest. Unexpectedly, Guatemala takes advantage of this to launch an attack on Chiapas, while in Baja California the Tijuana Cartel launches a revolt, officially claiming to create to independent Republic of Baja California. In Sinaloa, the Sinaloa Cartel, the Beltran-Leyva Cartel and Los Zetas declare a revolt against Mexico. Drug cartels take over the states of Chihuahua, Quintana Roo, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas and Michoacan. In Coahuila, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Veracruz and Guerrero, local mayors and state governors declare independence from Mexico and fight Mexican military attempts to reincorporate their communities.

On its own initiative, Armenia launches their own invasion of Turkey, capturing much of the northeast. Iraqi Kurdistan, intent on liberating their fellow Kurds in Turkey, attack the southeast. Contrary to Putin’s expectations, Scotland achieves independence without a shot being fired. Alex Salmond is declared the 1st prime minister of independent Scotland. In Spain, fighting erupts between Catalan separatists and the national government. Lega Nord declares northern Italy an independent country, and soon the Padania military and Italian government forces build up their forces in Umbria and Marche. In Paris, units of the French military loyal to the Fronte Nationale launch a coup to put Marine Le Pen in the presidency. The attempted coup is put down by Macron loyalists. Le Pen and Fronte Nationale are jailed for treason.

Having achieved most of their political goals, Russia and India decide that continuing the war against the United States, Canada and the European members of NATO is not worth it. The war against Turkey, however, continues at the insistence of the Armenian government. Realizing his cause is lost, Erdogan resigns and flees his country to Saudi Arabia, where he is welcomed. The leaders and many members of the AK Parti also emigrate from Turkey. Armenia gains northeastern Turkey, Kurdistan takes southeastern Turkey and Bulgaria annexes Edirne. The rest of Turkey is incorporated into Greece as Eastern Hellas. The war finally ends.
