PR operation , there are hundreds of empty passenger flights that can do the same task at cheaper cost (because of covid) 

Not only is the C17 costlier to operate , it's also slower and uncomfortable 

Keep in mind they are not operating in warzones , why are they using military crafts ?

Then indian govt is a even bigger idiot , Russia already bombed airports and kept no fly zone over Ukraine 

You do realise they already shot down MH 17 jet in 2014 in the same zone
