The Political Game Is Not Yet Over

Another life was sacrificed for the sake of Telangana in Yellaredy Peta Mandal of Karimnagar district of Telangana region for the sake of separate statehood today. It seems more students are being graduated in “suicide psychology” than for “academic courses” from the university campuses in Telangana region.

Meanwhile, Srikanth Chary's (first suicide of present movement) mother Shankaramma today ruffled feathers of the TRS leaders when she did a dharna at the LB Nagar crossroads where her son committed suicide alleging that the TRS leaders enthused her son to commit suicide. She made a startling revelation that some TRS leaders formed a trust in the name of her son to encash his sacrifice to collect funds.

She alleged that the TRS leaders have encouraged people like her son to commit suicide for the sake of Telangana while none of the people from the families of these TRS leaders like KCR ever committed suicides.

She even threatened to commit suicide, if the police are failed to book criminal cases against the TRS leaders who motivated her son to take the extreme step.

All these events were happening when, some sections of OU JAC had expressed reservations against the propriety of organizing “Koti Bathukamma Jathara” by Telangana Jagruthi by Kavitha, daughter of KCR while the whole Telangana is mourning suicides of students. The OUJAC contend the festival is being organized to generate political mileage than propagating the culture.

It seems the suicides or rather the sacrifices are being exploited for political interests. This is exactly what is happening in the on going movement for Telangana, where many innocents are resorting to extreme steps for a cause which is politically motivated (regardless of aspirations of the people). They are putting their future at stake by falling to the eccentric intentions of the politicians. The politicians, who promote the violence, are living their life styles in luxury. In fact, they are cashing the situation and the emotional out burst of the innocent students to enhance their political support base to once again dominate the politics and Swiss bank balances. While innocent lives are being drowned, the politicians are fishing in the troubled waters.

Not aware of the dirty or rather the ugly games the politicians play and losing their power of judgment, the innocent and gullible masses of Telangana have began to self destruct their lives hoping that something good might happen to Telangana. They are becoming targets of emotional out burst and anger of their own.

The Telangana students who fell in the trap of the dirty politicians hit the streets giving three hoots to their studies.  In their emotional out burst, they ignored the consequences of loosing one and many more academic years in the competitive world? How would they face these exams in future even if the State gets separated? The politicians might be promising them that they would get Government jobs, if state is separated (No doubt the locals would be given preference in the Government jobs). But no Government can give jobs to everybody. And in this case, the Government that would assume powers would surely not go all out to find jobs to every body that sacrificed their academic years. No Government in the world gives jobs simply because someone had contributed his everything for a cause. Just, look at the widows of the martyrs of the Kargil, their sufferings would tell the story of the consequences of sacrifice.

Even, the Telangana industrialist and other capitalists to whom KCR promised to spread red carpet and dole out tax holidays would not give any job out of Telangana sympathy, if he finds the applicant is useless to his company. Just go around, even for today, if you find any Telanganites is employed in some of the corporate schools/colleges/companies own by Telangana leaders. Had the students been aware of this they would have not left their studies. But, there lies the talent of politicians as they lured the students with false hopes of bright future.

The politicians, who pledged that they would abide by the directions of Telangana JAC students, have been hiding their faces from the JAC. The Student JAC which declared it self to lead the movement and insisted the politicians to follow them, should, at least for now, realize that for politicians “their politics is important and not the separate state”.

Both the Congress and the TDP apprehend of political loses in Seemandhra region if the state gets separated. At the same time, they took the Telangana slogan to safe guard the similar interests in the Telangana region.  They even split the political JAC which they themselves had formed.

While, the Congress leaders began to talk on the futility of the political crisis and out rightly denied to be part of the constitutional crisis(resignations) , TDP leaders are saying that they would follow the Congress representatives in that matter.  Are these wise politicians not aware that resignations or for that matter constitutional crisis are not solutions for the issue? Why are they misleading the students on constitutional crisis when they are in a position to reach a consensus and pressurize the Union Government to table the bill in Parliament.

Despite, the Congress and the TDP leaders opting against resignations, the students are still blind to the wiles of these dirty politics. The writing is on the wall, but the students are trying to be illiterates, as emotions are blinding their visions.

While, the Congress and the TDP are trapped in the Telangana riddle pushing the students in the T’ whirlpool, TRS is sitting pretty amidst the ruins. It is preparing for the later day political feast, while T region is burning in the fire lit by KCR. KCR is confident of walking out with the full credit, if the State is separated. He would also gain if the Congress fails to keep its promise as the students have taken the movement to the grass root levels. KCR is aware that both the TDP and the Congress would not take things too far given their political concerns in the other regions. The Nero in him knew that he is on the safer side when what ever happens on T’ issue. Amidst the chaos that are resultant of his wily politics, KCR is maintaining his cool and is currently busy in launching a News Paper. At the same time he is busy in collection games to build his family’s political economy. While, the issue is politically advantageous for KCR in many forms, congress and TDP have raised curtain for a new political game in their own styles. Now Gaddar who had been watching the dirty political games from the side lines had jumped into the band wagon to make the hay while the politics shine. How many turns the game would take nobody knows? The Telangana turf is still sticky.

More importantly, how many innocents would become victims of their own emotional out burst and anger, while becoming the pawns in the dirty chess games of the politicians? Wait and see the game is not yet over.
