It could be totally an accident. She was in a bath tub, having wine when she was tired and sick with cold. She might have fallen asleep and slipped into tub. It is better not to have bubble bath when you think you might fall asleep. By the time you realize it could be too late to react and nobody can rescue.

A person I know drowned after consuming alcohol. That was near a waterfall though and there was sufficient depth. However, there are good reasons why someone would drown in a bath tub after a drink. Hot water will dialate the blood vessels and when you combine it with alcohol it can cause a faint. So yeah very much possible.
