hows even 25% possible. mesthri will have to pay full tax on 100$ per hour billing. Assuming most are wealthy - it is easily 35% (fed plus state tax). so migeledhi 65$ and he is paying employee $75 - that means running business for loss ?

No ba. lets take regular case - mesthri bills $100 and pays $80 as salary. so tax liability for mesthri is only $20. so 35% on 20 is maybe 7 dollars. so mesthri gets $13 . if you deduct payroll also mesthri gets 9.

Now mesthri bills $100 and pays you cash in india. mesthri has no legal expense - so his tax liability is full $100. he pays 35 as tax and gets 65. Now he is giving employee 75 in cash so he is making a 10 loss.

may be the poorest mesthri i have ever seen. If you are making more than 300k its very hard to pay anything less than 25% federal and full state taxes.

Big Tech

Looking at the tech industry's titans, Amazon and Facebook have two of the lowest effective tax rates of the bunch. Amazon's stood at 11.8% and Facebook at 12.2% in 2020, based on Market Intelligence data. Netflix Inc. had an effective tax rate of 13.7%
