$15 is min wage in most us cities bro if you cannot afford a min wage meal in US you should improve you living standards than expecting cheap food - irrespective of your status , Biryani Making is a skill and skilled people demand good pay from restaurant owners so $15-20 is still cheap  as it made fresh and made with indian spices and basmati rice etc etc  compared to $3 mac chicken or $7 Subway which are automated and dose not need any skill and not freshly made . Where are most of the indian food need to be made fresh especially biryanis . there are lot of recipe's available for one pot pulav style biryanis with insta pot .

Get a mentor and upgrade your skills if you dont have help here there are some institutes in india take a week end course  its not that tough you can get $50-75 min in the current market if you just put some extra effort - learn devops or some tools or sales force , service now etc
