Desi managers are the worst. I think its not about ego. It’s more like a overambtious nature that causes all the mess.
 

 Desi managers try to achieve their individual targets and goals by pushing people around. 
 

Managing is all about team goals and requirments. There is no room for individual preference here. It’s all about team.

Sometimes it might be too hectic or too subtle. They have to overlook sometimes and they can boss around other times. 
 

Your subordinates are not tools to help you succeed in your individual triumphs.

In conclusion, desi managers most often don’t know the role of manager well. They take it on themselves and look at it as an individual role.

can you be more elaborative what "others" mean?

If people around me or people I know then I will be happy to see them grow and successful..

If I know the person but not close to him/her, will still be happy seeing the results after their hardwork

if becoming an IAS, an Instagram model, a startup billionaire is success, then its obvious that it can't be tolerated.

If discovery of a new element is bar to success, then we are all thankful for the person/team that did it, and wish them the very best.
