it's better to open custodial account instead of 529 since 529 is only used for kids college but custodial account can be used for any type of expenses.

I used to buy atleast one amzn stock a month and stopped it recently. Adding few apple stocks every month now.

thats what i am going to give for my kids. Chaduvi ki use chesukuntaro lekha deniko valla istham. Nothing else from my side

Yeah . But it is better to have atleast bit on 529 because of the tax advantages . Even if you end up overpaying , funds cane be rolled to other siblings .

I would recommend buying index funds in 529s. Companies fail all the time. Looks at kodak, Cisco, Intel, IBM,  how they lost value over years .amazon is shitting on retail . Its value is from AWS .
