If you are feeling that we are going to recession and you are asking others for stock suggestions.  You better buy VTI instead of picking stocks on other's suggestions

Mana lanti valla kosame boglehead ane mahanubhavudu ee concept inteoduce chesadu. It is very hard to pick individual stocks .all companies fail at one point or other . Look at kodak, intel, Nokia,  GE , these were top companies decades ago. IBM and Cisco were huge.  But companies will always be replaced by new ones.

If you have majority of your assets tied to let's say,  amazon and amazon retail is already getting weak . If azure eats some aws and google cloud eats some . Amazon may loose its value and you may end up bag holder.
