Every political party has some think tanks who formulate strategy for the party. They also give inputs to the leaders to speak on different occasions at different venues. 

YSR Congress in AP has such think tanks who have been trusted lieutenants of party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy from the beginning. 

Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy is one such think tank for the party, while Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy is another leader. 

While Vijayasai Reddy takes care of the party’s strategy in the national capital and Parliament, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy shoulders Jagan’s burden in the state. 

Vijayasai Reddy also deals with the party’s relations at the national level with various other parties, including the ruling BJP. 

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy interacts with the party leaders and coordinates with the ministers, MLAs and MLCs, besides the nominated leaders. 

As Jagan Mohan Reddy gears up for the next round of election in 2024, the two think tanks have come together at Tadepalli on Friday giving a shock to the opposition.

The meeting between Vijayasai Reddy and Ramakrishna Reddy, which lasted for more than an hour over lunch assumes significance with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan giving a call to the opposition unity ahead of 2024 elections. 

Jagan Mohan Reddy had recently given the agenda to the party leadership to work to retain power with greater number of seats. 

The chief minister had also left the responsibility of coordination on the shoulders of these two leaders. 

In this context the meeting of the two leaders had sent some strong signals to the rank and file of the party down the lane, while it sent some strong caution to the opposition.
