Mahesh Babu’s Athadu and Pokiri has increased the business potential of Telugu cinema by miles and he is highly admired by the Telugu film lovers in USA. Trivikram is definitely the number one director when it comes to USA and his films Athadu and Jalsa show his potential among Telugu filmsin USA. Trivikram’s dialogues have been thoroughly enjoyed since the days of Nuvve Kavali. The lethal combination of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram has stuck again big time in USA after Athadu. As per the rentrak, Khaleja collected a gross of 147k USD for thursday and friday. 50k more is said to be collected from the centers that are not tracked by rentrak. The report also doesn’t include paid premieres which were held on wednesday with a hiked ticket price (to the tune of 25 dollars a ticket in some centers). The estimated amount from the collections of premieres is around 50k. The total estimated gross in USA till friday is 250k USD. If this trend continues in the weekend too, then Khaleja might become one of the biggest Telugu film grossers in USA.
