Weather you believe it or not it’s part of US constitution and as per that everyone have right to protect them selves if necessary irrespective of age and it’s exist from long back. Also if you compare other states(blue) these states have less crime. Just my observations from last 8 years.

Ikkada wrong. Top 10 states for violent crimes per 100000 are all red states except for DC.
