Yeah, without any doubt. It is a white elephant for now. Unless Govt makes arrangement to pay for atleast 5000 MW and a come up with a revenue source to maintain those baahubali pump houses, it will not be feasible. 
 

To balance and offset these costs, incoming governments have to start taxing or collect user charges. It will happen for sure, max 5 years.

Consecutive droughts vunte thappa we won’t be able to utilize the project to its full potential. Only positive aspect is that this region will never see water scarcity ever.
