A bank manager from Rajasthan was shot dead by a terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam in another case of targeted killing of Hindus. It was the Valley's second targeted attack against Hindus in three days. Vijay Kumar was shot right outside his office at the Ellaquai Dehati Bank in Are, Mohan Pora. Kumar, who was from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, was brought to a hospital and died as a result of his injuries.

The attack came barely two days after a Hindu woman was killed by terrorists in the Gopalpora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir. Rajni Bala, the woman, worked as a schoolteacher
