Surgery itself is not complicated but patient conditions matter. Even Gandhi and Osmania are doing knee replacements these days

Just go for it, improves quality of life which they need as they grow old. Millions of people are doing it, go ahead without concerns. My family had many who did this, they are all fine and leading much better life without depending on others now

is knee replacement worth it , for people around 70 years old ?

Doctor in hyd recommended surgery for my uncle.

Best doctor in Hyd?

Dr Akhil Dadi, Srikara Hospitals (long back worked in Sunshine and is a shishya of Dr Guruva Reddy)

Go for Robotic surgery and please insist for Akhil Dadi to be the surgeon

I’ve seen folks in their 70s do really well after surgery if pain is high and movement is tough. In Hyderabad, I’ve heard good things about doctors at major ortho hospitals.

Reviving this thread because many people still look for info on this. For someone around 70, I’ve seen good outcomes if the person is active and the joint is really worn out. In Hyderabad, a few folks I know had good experiences with Sunshine Hospitals and Apollo Jubilee Hills. Anyone here had a recent surgery in Hyd and can share recovery time or doctor recommendations?
