One should not ignore snoring. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. I now use a CPAP machine which allows me to breathe at night and the snoring has stopped.

Please do not ignore snoring. Because if it is because of sleep apnea it can be dangerous. You can consult a sleep specialist and see if you can have a sleep test conducted.
