Not for all of them.. more people are on variable rates.. and there are coops in many areas.. electricity prices have increased by more than 50% across the country… Europe lo aithe doubled… Russian gas export ban chesaru by imposing sanctions. . now US is exporting more to Europe to cover the gaps..

Not everyone has an option.. some live in coop areas.. California lo PG&E.. Dallas lo coserv (many areas).. also the fixed rate works only upto certain usage range.. after that market rates apply.. again this varies from region to region
