Right from 'Govinda Govinda' to today's 'Rakta Charitra', RGV turned a litmus test for Censor Board Members. However, his Rakta Charitra got censored a couple of days back with only changing the name of a particular city. Sources inside the Censor Board revealed that the board members got shocked by Ramu's explanation regarding many things of the movie. Except Anantapuram, RGV changed the names of all the characters and locations, which depict the originals indirectly. Paritala Ravi's name is changed as Pratap Ravi, while Maddelacheruvu Suri's name is changed as Surya Bhanureddy. Though censor board can't object to these names, they are stunned by the director's brilliance in naming the characters to resemble their coincidence with the inspired people.
