Lot of ppl from business circle go to make networking and considering their business benefits like finding new vendors or new employees or new relationships this 1400$ is nothing..

But inn general high price for general audience and these events usually wonderful amazing food items for three days ..I remember my days from attending TANA event in 2009 in Rosemont convention center chicago.Chicago..

 

Sometimes they market big stars coming but some come some absent but if you have kids and family friends kids perform cultural events it gives a great platform to showcase the talent. Again in that perspective price tag is not that big if it also include accommodation in a pricey location like DC..

Worth? I'm hearing none of the musical nights gonna happen as all 3 didnt get visas...

Only cricketers and few movie actors who got visas already ( rakul has valid visa , shesh who is us citizen etc ) ... They are not time pass and waste - what will you do other than watching them from 200 feet and listen to their lousy speeches?

Musical night would have been fun , at least to some extent
