Guru. Don't listen to cnbc , Bloomberg and fox business analysts  for stock picks and long term investing. They are traders .they don't pick any for long term. They know when to sell or atleast they do short term trading.

Listen to Warren buffet ,Jack boglehead and  Some good podcasts like the money guy show..

There are lot of subs in reddit for knowledge. 

Don't pick stocks because an analyst said

Who can predict low point it may go bit lower so if you buy do it small quantities its a kind of good chance to add quality stocks to portfolio..

not expert but FB future looks interesting. they are investing heavily in metaverse and AR.

Never try to time market. It will not work like that.

Don't buy stocks with p/e > 20 or even 15. With interest rate staying higher for foreseeable  future, companies have to borrow at higher interest rates.

If you are in the long game, this is a good time to buy.

Just invest in S&P 500 index funds and hold. It will pay off in the longterm. 

 

Do this only if you believe the world will eventually create more wealth. If it creates more wealth, you will be beneficiary.

 

No one knows what will happen to FB, APPL etc. But S&P 500 will stay. APPL may be replaced by Orange in 500.

May be total market index fund instead of s&p 500. Apart from that this is the only good advice in this DB.

No company stays forever on top.

If you are buying individual stocks , you should also know when to sell and we are not Warren buffet to understand all those.
