yes university students seem to have some military training, even though the extent of the training varies. but all people are not given gun training in vietnam. that's what I got from quora.

I'm not interested to dig into this beyond that. I'm waiting for you to blow my mind with evidence that vietnam actually trains every kid to handle a gun. Beyond silly claims that a military conscription means everyone gets gun training.

conscription doesn't mean everyone gets trained in handling guns.

and even trained doesn't mean they are actually effective at using it. or even want to.

that's besides the point. the claim that made me lol is the one where vietnamese have communal armories that they can access to overthrow their govt if they want to. No govt would allow this. especially a communist govt.
