one should understand how regular servers get paid vs staff in indian places. 

Regular restaurants lo wait staff makes $3 per hour and tips. So akkada tip ivvatam chala important. Food baagoka poyina kooda, service baagunte i will tip 15% at least. Server pichi naatakalu padithe 10% max. 

Indian places lo staff gets paid either hourly or fixed amount (day shift 100, afternoon shift 125 etc.) Service baagundi, tip vaalla chetiki velte I am happy to add, if not no way.

I always ask workers if they get the tip or goes to owner. Vallaki velladu ante cash istha. Veltundi ante card tho pay chestha.
