Man Tears Passport Page to Hide Maldives Trip From Wife, Arrested!

A man got allegedly arrested for tearing some pages from his passport to hide his recent foreign visit from his wife. The 32-year-old man from Pune wanted to keep his extra-marital affair under wraps but was not aware that tampering with a passport is an offense.

The man reportedly visited the Maldives to meet his girlfriend and when he returned to India, immigration officials at Mumbai airport noticed that some pages of his passport were missing. When questioned he revealed the fact that he went to visit his girlfriend abroad but by telling his wife that he is traveling to India for work.

During his vacay, his wife called him but he did not answer. He later removed the pages from the passport thinking she would not know about his detour abroad. He was arrested for cheating and forgery.
