Kabir Singh did exceptionally well there but it also did well in tier 1... That's even with competition and total boycott by Nepo gang in Bollywood... They gave it bad reviews and trashed it.

arjun reddy, kabir singh, and that tamil remake of that trash was not criticized enough.

it should have been completely shredded.

the director claimed that Arjun Reddy is a character to be hated, but he glorifies him in the film in every way and in every interview after the movie became a runaway hit.

also the writing is piss poor. an asshole who stays an asshole till the end. If he'd atleast been killed in a road rage in front of his pregnant gf, that'd be a good ending for the movie.
