just go to SSA with gc and old ssn.. there will be one form to fill.. which they can msg you.. before appointment

It won't change, they will update the database.

After citizenship my old employer asked me to update as it was showing as immigrant (in their interface with SSA).

Ssn number kadu. But permanent ki marpichukovali.
