Not really. U can take 10-20% pay cut, apply remote and move lo low cost areas.

Remote work ante obviously you are killing career growth bro, 100/100 of managers favor onsite folks of course. 

Consulting is one thing if you are working for say KPMG, E&Y etc but if you are completely working remote you are a lot more invisible than your peers when it comes to evaluations.
