raleigh vs charlotte

pros and cons veskondi vayya... thinking to relocate to either location.. also atlanta is on my list as well.

In terms of housing, transport, opportunities etc

need moderate desi crowd, house with enough desi community,good schools

Both Charlotte and Raleigh are nice places to live.

 

Raleigh : Cary , Apex etc 

Charlotte : Concord and Huntersville In North Charlotte 

waxhaw and fort mill in South Charlotte

Raleigh is overrated and boring area. Charlotte is Better.

I prefer decent urban feel (not heavily crowded with desis) and kid is 2 years old so have some time for school ..

atlanta better emo uncle.

not sure if NC cities have enough entertainment places to visit.  they have ncie suburbs but ppl will get bored i guess

Atlanta is your best bet. NC is overrated.

Atlanta is better overall with more job market and decent desi communities.

If you want to participate in bonalu and struggle for direct flights, want to see aunties in nightie.

 Do nothing but playing cricket and doing potluck.  Go for raleigh.

Also.  I have not seen a place more boring than cary, apex area.

India lo hot summer , power cut time lo kooda antha bore undadhu...

just to add context- we are not so much into gathering or desi potlucks stuff... simple solo family outings/ trips type batch..epdaina kalustam with other folks not regular gatherings
