It's a remake with Indian adaption. i loved Forrest gump, i am sure family audience will connect with it 

Aamir Khan is a great actor , he could make it work

for me after watching forest gump, tom hanks innocence for character vs amir - naku amir plastic anipichindi

may be those who never watched original will like desified gump

I felt the same watching the trailer, tom hanks did genuinely natural
