Shinde started as auto driver. Grass root level lo good following. Simple background.

Still he will not win as he will divide opposition vote but not enough to attract TRS voters from KCR, KCR has a bigger charisma being the founder of the party.

similiar things happened with Raj Thacrey, he was much more powerful and was a rightman to Bal Thackrey, Uddav was a simpleton with interrests in photography etc and did not involve himself in polictics until early 2000’s. Raj thouht he was apparent heir and has a alpha mentality. In it’s peak Sena was run by Raj and smitha thackrey(uddav’s sister in law and cinema producer). Raj was never able to win anything inspite of having a fan base

But This after KCR is a whole different story
