Cape canevaral space station in usa which launched the famous appollo program occupies only 1325 acres.

WHy does sri hari kota need 35,000 plus acres ? @Ryzen_renoir - is it not stealing the land of nellore people with h ardly any benefit ?

Leave alone nellore - even for india - they make two flights per year where one fails.

Most of Sri hari Kota is actually a protected wildlife zone including pulicat lake 

 isro is only using it due to its geography , they are actually trying to move to new space station in Tamil Nadu in the next decade

Fertile land ? Loka saari maps open chesi choodu it's almost a swamp land , digging ten feet will give you salt water in those areas.

Fishermen still live and fish there , there are fights between andhra and TN fishermen too

People were removed from there to make way for sri hari kota. It is still the land of the people. 35000 acres of land was occupied by govt of india. what did the people there get in return? you have no answer but donka thirugu discussion on land "not so fertile".

SHAR covers a total area of about 145 km² (56 sq mi) with a coastal length of 27 km (17 mi). Prior to its acquisition for ISRO by the Government of India, it was a firewood plantation of Eucalyptus and Casuarina trees - - Wikipedia

 

There are no beaches in that area, just sea facing land tho em chesukuntav? There are beaches as you proceed towards the north from there and lots of sea facing lands if you plan to do anything with them.

145 square kilometers is 35,000 acres. Have you ever seen a 35,000 acre plantation in india? that too in densely populated coastal in india. There maybe some land in plantation but it cannot be 35,000.

I see a clear beach in google maps in the entire stretch of land. Its thin strip but a beach nevertheless not rocks or marshes.
