You should be fine if you have a GC if you are contracting for one state client and one Fed client.

The only issue occurs let's say if you are on full time payroll for the Federal gov and your employer has a clause restricting employment with another gov entity which is what the state falls under.

For contractors, until and unless you go tell everyone what you are upto you should be fine. Just close everything and work, you will manage it.

Are you saying state Govts will specify that their contractors shouldn't work for any Federal client.

If such an explicit clause doesn't exist, it won't matter

Make sure you do not have same VMS for both .otherwise it’s hard to find
