I have - i used with some and not with others. i dont remember using it persistently. If they take offense there is no chance i use it.

so you need a muslim friend to tell you that 'turaq' which already is derived from turks is an othering word. sometimes used as an insult by the sanghis. but used even by regular people to keep muslims off the mainstream.
