Using gun is not that simple. It will have legal repercussions.

if there is not enough threat (knife), don’t use gun unless the guy has a gun.

The same system also gives them full freedom to religion and speech. Dallas car rallies, screaming, dancing, fire crackers, blah of telugus with every movie release is also freedom.

why would the cops not know the rules and laws?? Their duty is to protect the law - not to punish. They don’t get to kill someone who is holding a knife and screaming unless he is pointing a gun. The system doesn’t back cops for killing someone without cause when they could have simply tasered the guy and subdued him.

They know how to stop him before it gets any worse which is why they did not shoot him. Aagadam enti? Control loki theeskunnar gada? They might have seen hundreds of such cases in their career and they know the law enforcement well. India lo laga police Lu ikkada public ni illegally kottaru punish cheyyaru. They either control him and arrest him, tase him or shoot/kill him. No illiterate/illegal kotting thitting or punishing. Not even a court can beat him, they can only lock him up for a period of time with lousy food, mediocre facilities, no freedom and no privacy to teach him this is what he gets if he misbehaves. It is illegal for cops to beat anyone even in India!!

shooting someone is a very serious matter, it doesn’t happen just like that for petty things in real life.

He is just a baccha who doesn't even know how to hold a knife for those cops' experience  and training and they can get him even before he thinks of doing any harm to anybody or himself. Why do you think they did not shoot him if he was a threat? They took him into custody. What else is expected?
