Plant a lot of Garlic around. Looks like it repels insects/worms. Not sure about udatalu. From Google "Garlic will deter aphids, Japanese beetles, and spider mites. Garlic may also discourage deer, rabbits, mice, rats, moles, and voles, and some people claim garlic is a terrific snake repellent" 1 Quote
