Planning to visit AMmsterdam in near future.....reaching out to see what are the best tourist spots and things to do

I'm a bachelor guy...visiting single.

Those Kompas in Amsterdam are overrated! Try it in Frankfurt. Mostly Romaninas..katti la untaru and less money

City by itself is beautiful.

Depending on your taste, limit the amount of time for museums. 

Try to stay in the Prinsengracht neighborhood. It is pretty cool. If/when I visit again I will stay there. 

Avoid those touristy large boats for canal tours. Most useless thing adi. Definitely look for a small boat guided tour. Totally worth it. We had excellent experience with https://www.thosedamboatguys.com/#new-page

keukenhof is good, but single guy kabatti totally skippable. Enjoy the city!

- Heineken Experience tour - Must visit brewery

- Anne Frank House museum - If you are interested in holocaust/Nazi stuff

- Canal Cruise

- Amsterdam Red Light District (i felt this was bit overhyped, but certainly different experience)

- Coffee Shop (Famous for cannabis) (If you are interested in weed, I would highly recommend)

- Rotterdam market hall (This is a good spot to hangout for food and shopping).

- If you have time, definitely make a visit to Bruges, Belgium. (probably 3 hours if you take train) . Personally, i liked Belgium, it's more beautiful than Amsterdam.

Also, try to stay in a hostel. You'll have best experience - young crowd, great place to socialize, you may find a travel buddy, and its much cheaper and safe. I stayed at FlyingPig. Check out hostels in hostelworld site.

You can go to windmills (its bit on the outside of the city)  and https://www.adamlookout.com/ to have a good view of the city
