It's very hard to prove this concept, as it related to the theory of the mind so there's not enough practical experimentation we can do to either prove or disprove this, so it becomes a question of belief. 

What I really liked though was the top down approach that was taken into understanding the riddle that's "consciousness" in general and the different aspects that we could approach this problem from.

what i dont understand is the western society still considers as individualistic in nature

as long as west dont understand the concept of reincarnation any theories are just plan theories just like how darwins theory of evolution has turned into now
