MoviePass - only way they can succeed is to become ticket reseller like fandango and atom.. not by giving debit cards

Last time our desis abused it to the core - even with so many restrictions in place later. 

They are releasing in dallas - good luck to MoviePass team. Desi population is now twice if not more now.

yeah 3-5 movies only and that too there is peak time and off peak times. 

their plan is to make people take subscriptions and not use it over time.  low enough that customers dont care. similar to planet fitness model.

in future they want to make deals with theaters if enough traffic flows through them.

    i think they can check the source with limited launch. also i think they added some requirement that you need to be in the vicinity of the theater. 

 

but AMC A list is much better deal. for 22 bucks you can watch 3 movies per week.

That vicinity check can be easily circumvented...

Sources - credit card POS systems vary and our people found what is accepted and what not.

 

They plugged these holes eventually but that's too late. They even banned few people - but they bought it at Costco so got refunded .
