Travel with H1B while i485 is pending

I have a valid H1B visa on my passport until Oct 31 2022. My I485 is pending, and have biometrics appointment tomorrow (9/9). I do not have EAD/AP.

I filed for H1B extension on Sep 1 in premium processing and hoping to hear an update by Sep 15.

Is it legal to travel after Sep 15 and return before Oct 31, without any impact to my pending I-485?.

I485 or i765 ki no issue, ur i131 will be denied, so u have to refile

any issues/gotchas with refile?, I need to be aware?

does it take a long time or something etc.. do they need additional biometrics

I heard some where that while I am on travel,  if gc gets approved, then H1b becomes invalid, so I may not be able to use my H-1B to re-enter.. any truth in that please.

 

I'd appreciate if any one is similar situation as mine did travel and re-entered without any issues

No issues .. yeah processing aithe refile ki time padutundi that’s for sure .. if u have valid reason, emergency request raise cheyochu to get AP approved .. I don’t know which categories fall under that though

so if GC is approved while on my travel - then I cannot re-enter using my H1B and would need GC? (that means some one will need to take the GC from my mailbox and give it to me in India so that I can re-enter?)

I am on same boat.. 

Travelling to India on H1B..  I got EAD but pending 485 and Advance Parole.

dont use AP to enter US -- if it is in process when you left US and approved while you are in India.
