ముంబయి: మూన్‌లైటింగ్‌ (moonlighting) కల్చర్‌పై ఐటీ సంస్థల ఆందోళన రోజురోజుకూ పెరుగుతోంది. తమ సంస్థల్లో పనిచేసే వారు వేరే చోట ఉద్యోగాలు చేయడంపై  మండిపడుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పటికే పలు ఐటీ సంస్థలు దీనిపై గళమెత్తగా.. తాజాగా గ్లోబల్‌ టెక్‌ సంస్థ ఐబీఎం (IBM) కూడా ‘మూన్‌లైటింగ్‌’ అనైతికమని పేర్కొంది. ఉద్యోగంలో చేరేటప్పుడు చేసుకునే ఒప్పందాన్ని ఇది ఉల్లంఘించడమే అవుతుందని ఆ సంస్థ ఇండియా, దక్షిణాసియా మేనేజింగ్‌ డైరెక్టర్‌ సందీప్‌ పటేల్‌ అన్నారు.

కంపెనీకి చెందిన ఓ కార్యక్రమం సందర్భంగా విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడుతూ మూన్‌లైటింగ్‌ గురించి ప్రస్తావించారు. ‘‘కంపెనీలో చేరేటప్పుడు ‘ఐబీఎంకే పనిచేస్తా’నని ఉద్యోగులు ఒప్పంద పత్రంలో సంతకం చేస్తారు. అలాంటిది.. మిగిలిన సమయంలో వారు వేరే కంపెనీకి పనిచేస్తున్నారు. ఇది అనైతికం అని’’ పటేల్‌ అన్నారు. ఈ విషయంలో రిషద్‌ ప్రేమ్‌జీ వ్యక్తంచేసిన అభిప్రాయంతో తాను ఏకీభవిస్తానని సందీప్‌ పటేల్‌ అన్నారు. ఒక్కసారే రెండు ఉద్యోగాలు చేయడం మోసంతో సమానమని విప్రో ఛైర్మన్‌ రిషద్‌ ప్రేమ్‌జీ ఇటీవల వ్యాఖ్యానించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే.

ఈ సందర్భంగా కంపెనీ గురించి గురించి ప్రస్తావించగా.. కరోనా సమయంలో ఉద్యోగులు తమ సొంతూళ్లకు వెళ్లిపోయారని.. ఇప్పటికీ వారు కార్యాలయాలకు రావడం పరిమితంగానే ఉందని చెప్పారు. అందుకే హైబ్రిడ్‌ వర్క్‌ మోడల్‌ను ఐటీ సంస్థలు అనుసరిస్తున్నాయని చెప్పారు. టైర్‌-2, టైర్‌-3 క్లస్టర్లు ఎమర్జింగ్‌ క్లస్టర్లుగా మారుతున్నాయని పేర్కొన్న ఆయన.. భారత్‌లో కంపెనీ తన ఉనికిని మరింత విస్తరించాలనుకుంటోందని చెప్పారు. అలాగే, ఎయిర్‌టెల్‌కు ఎడ్జ్‌ క్లౌడ్‌ సర్వీసులు అందించేందుకు ఆ సంస్థతో ఒప్పందం చేసుకున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.

But they are protected with clauses in their letter where as regular employees are not. 

 

Imo, employers should be open. Instead of saying u should not work second job, they should say u shouldn't work from 9am to 5/6pm.

@Vaampire he can work any shifts , as long as he dedicates 8hrs work completion for each comp he works.

it can overlap too.

s long as work is getting done, I dont see issue, unless there is performance and deliverable loss from that employee

There is tech resources crunch for companies

Employer never follows ethics they follow business

Employees matramey ethics follow avvali aney logic ento

How do I measure for if work is getting impacted or not? And also how can they make sure ur not working for competitor? 

It's not as simple as u think. What if a competitor company sues a company about   intellectual property?

For example a product mgr is working at 2 companies and shares same idea and both companies invest in the idea?
