హైకోర్టు జడ్జి జస్టిస్ బట్టు దేవానంద్ కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేశారు. తెలుగు జాతి అంటే చులకన అయిపోయిందన్న ఆయన..  ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల వద్ద అవమానాలు పడే పరిస్థితి తెలుగుజాతి ఉందన్నారు. 'మనలో ఐక్యత లేదు. ప్రతిదానికి కులం.. రాజకీయం.. స్వార్థమే ఉంది' అని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఏపీకి రాజధాని లేని కారణంగా.. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ కు చెందిన వారు ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల వారి ముందు ఎదురవుతున్న పరిస్థితుల్ని ఆయన ఒక ఉదాహరణలో చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.

తన కుమార్తె ఢిల్లీలోని కాలేజీలో చదువుతోందని.. ఆమెను తోటి విద్యార్థులు మీ రాజధాని ఏదంటూ ఆట పట్టిస్తున్నారంటూ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితి కారణంగా పిల్లలు సైతం తలదించుకునే స్థితిలో ఉన్నారన్నారు.
