This is multi dimensional poverty  index…

previous traditional methods have some flaws like there is only factor like income based if any person just fraction below the BPL he was considered poor..etc..

In this new approach they take multiple indicators like income, health, school..etc and measure..

same survey will be used for HDI index as well…while HDI is aggregated …MPI is micro level…
